Team Ukraine played their first international match on October 24, 1992 – beating Estonia 3-0. This will be Ukraine’s fifth appearance in a European Championship – after finishing sixth in 1993, ninth in 1995, seventh in 1997 and 12^th in 2005. Ukraine are the gold medal winners from the 2016 edition of the European League.
