Belgium
Belgium have a special connection with EuroVolley Women. They have already hosted it three times, the last time in 2015. The best performance of the team was in Germany and Switzerland in 2013, when the Yellow Tigers claimed a historic bronze medal. This year’s EuroVolley will be their 10th participation in the competition. Belgium head coach Gert Vande Broek chose to work with the same large selection for this summer’s campaign.

The first goal for 2019 was to stay in the FIVB Volleyball Nations League and the team eventually did so. The Tigers actually achieved a phenomenal result as they claimed seventh place after playing five weeks of high-level volleyball. Next up is the Olympic Qualification Tournament in Italy. This young and talented team are often praised by their enthusiasm and never willing to give up. Many players of the team are still playing in Belgium, which emphasises the quality of the work done by the local clubs.
