Maja Ognjenovic“We feel very happy because we know Turkey is a good team and this game was very important. The Turkish fans were extremely passionate and it is good to see a full hall. I am proud of my team. We had some ups and downs, especially in the third and fourth sets but I am happy that after losing a few points, we could come back and that we play as a team. We finally have two days off and we are waiting for our opponent. We will be at the top and give our maximum against Romania.”
Captain of Serbia
Giovanni Guidetti, coach of Turkey: “It was a great fight, in front of great people, great spectators. It is amazing to play in front of this crowd. In front of us, there was the best team in the word right now and with the number of mistakes that we did, it is impossible to compete with them.
Starting from now, every match is a final. We have to play much better in the next round to stay in the competition as long as possible. In this round, we did our job, nothing less, nothing more than that.”
