Match Report

Second victory in a row for Germany in #EuroVolleyW

Article 24 August 2019

Germany fulfilled the role of favourite of the clash, but it was hard job for the team to add a second victory in the Group D as Spain’s players showed their quality. Jessica Rivero (16 points) with Anna Escamilla (25 points), who will play in Germany´s club Potsdam in the upcoming season, made a huge setback for the favourite team.
Germany blackout in the first set complicated the situation for Felix Koslowski´s team. But their performance went high and they also managed the dramatic third set, which was the crucial moment of the game. Germany won especially due to attack´s variability, in which main role was played by Jennifer Geerties, Louisa Lipmann and Denise Hanke.
Spain is still without points, despite the two promising performances during less than 24 hours.
