Anna Danesi“This fifth straight victory means a lot to us, since this pool was quite difficult, possibly because we underestimated some of the teams we played here. They do have a very different style of playing than we are used to – so it took us some time to adjust to their shots, blocks and defence. We now look forward to the matches in Belgrade – we shall probably play France in the 8th Finals. We definitely do not underestimate them, but we know that if we play as good as we can, we can beat anyone.”

Sarah van Rooij“We had nothing to lose and it's so amazing to play against such great players, whom we see on TV, so every point we made is just like a party. We enjoyed being a part of it. Of course, they scored many beautiful points, but we were also able to score a few and to have fun. In the last set, we gave everything and it was very close.”
